Welcome to the Zillertal Arena – games, fun, sports and summer relaxation for the whole family!

Summer highlights

Sports activities, exciting leisure activities, exciting family programs, magnificent mountain panoramas, and impressive natural spectacles – paradisiacal surprises as far as the eye can see! This is the Zillertal Arena, which stretches from the heart of the Tyrolean Zillertal with the towns of Zell im Zillertal and Gerlos, into the neighboring Salzburg Pinzgau region with the towns of Wald/Königsleiten and Krimml, all the way to the Krimml Waterfalls.

Get fit for everyday life and enjoy the countless opportunities for individual relaxation and sporting activities. With the flexible "Hiking Light" vacation program, the wellness professionals of the Zillertal Arena have devised a particularly attractive, varied, and family-friendly concept.

“BergAktiv” is the name of the varied fitness and vitality program for young and old, for beginners and advanced hikers, for those with strong calves as well as for leisurely nature lovers.

The Zillertal Arena is especially geared to the needs of its "youngest guests." The resort offers exciting and varied children's programs (organized by the tourist association). The Zell Leisure Park and the Arena Coaster—the first Alpine roller coaster in the Zillertal—provide an extra dose of fun.
The Arena Skyliner is new – not for the faint of heart! This new aircraft offers even more fun, action, and an unparalleled bird's eye view!

In addition, the numerous festivals and events, where the famous Zillertal folk music groups perform, give the region a very special atmosphere.

Hiking holiday in the Zillertal Arena

Zell, Gerlos, Königsleiten/Wald, and Krimml – these four villages offer a truly unique hiking paradise in summer. The Zillertal Arena, also known as the Hiking Arena, has a network of no less than 400 km of trails.

Arena Coaster

Fast-paced, steep curves, and two roundabouts – there's a real thrill in store for the Zillertal Arena's newest attraction. The Arena Coaster, a somewhat different toboggan run on rails, offers tobogganing on unusual dimensions, up to nine meters above the ground!

Zell Leisure Park

Covering over 45,000 m², you'll find every conceivable recreational opportunity: an outdoor pool with a sports pool, whirlpool, giant slide, children's pool, Raiffeisen adventure playground, the Zillertal's first beach volleyball court, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, mini golf, a bowling alley, soccer, a fun court (volleyball, street, and basketball), and finally, the Garden of the Senses. The restaurant-café in the park, with its panoramic views of the Zillertal mountains, caters for all your culinary needs!

Gerlosstein via ferrata

The first via ferrata in the Zillertal Valley, on one of the most beautiful and scenic mountains, premiered last summer: the via ferrata on the Gerlossteinwand! The 380-meter-long climb, classified as challenging, attracts more than just mountaineering enthusiasts to its lofty heights.

Mountain biking in the Zillertal Arena

Enjoy the forest, the mountains, and nature in a completely individual way – everyone at their own pace, uphill with vigor and power and swiftly and passionately downhill. Whether exciting mountain biking makes your heart race or you prefer leisurely flat valley routes – there are virtually no limits to your desire for action, sport, and nature. After all, the Zillertal Arena lives up to its nickname as the Bike Arena! Around 232 kilometers of mountain bike trails of all difficulty levels invite you to really let off steam on your beloved bikes.
